aaron and zach grew up in chicago and first met in kindergarten. decades later, the bowl cuts were gone, but their friendship remained.

as life moved forward, so did their shared love for entrepreneurship and problem-solving. during the covid pandemic, a simple question kept coming up: why wasn’t riding a bike to the golf course - with your clubs - safe or enjoyable? later that day in denver, they went to play at city park and noticed something telling: bike racks were there, but no bikes were in sight. that moment sparked an idea - and lowercase was born.

in 2023, they began designing a new kind of golf bag - one built for movement, versatility, and modern life (you can still see the original sketch in our blog). soon after, the numbers confirmed what they already felt. according to the national golf foundation at the time, golf participation in the united states had grown to 45 million players. golf was changing - and the gear needed to change with it.

lowercase officially launched its golf backpack and pannier bag at the 2025 pga show in orlando, florida.

designed for golfers on the move, lowercase bags are built to support a more flexible, sustainable lifestyle - whether you’re biking to the course, heading into work, or squeezing in nine before sunset. we believe innovation belongs in golf, and that the game fits best when it moves with you.

lowercase is for golfers who don’t just play the game - they live it, seamlessly transitioning between work, play, and everything in between.

thanks for joining us for the ride.
